Capella's "Faculty Chair" for their School of Undergrad Studies, William Burkett,
Wants to Play Games!
We have just learned about a post by Bill Burkett (AKA, Hecter Barbosa [BTW, just like his stupid boss, Kurt Linberg, Burkett appears to be unable to spell!]) who claims that our site is "full of half truths [sic]" What's even more hilarious; however, is that Burkett posted this statement on a forum for a web site devoted to playing Internet games: he was responding to someone else who was apparently commenting on the fact that this site highlights the blatant censorship and subsequent harassment and retaliation against anyone who might rattle any Capella morons' cages!
Perhaps just as interesting is that one day (March 24, 2007), Burkett was whining that Capella University was censoring him -
"I have now been told by my current academic employer [Capella University] that I am not make any mention, engage in any discussions, nor attempt to use any aspects of Second Life."
. . .and yet the very next day, he's whining that our site is "full of half truths [sic]"
Sorry, Billy-boy, but this site contains a LOT more than just "half-truths." We can't help but wonder which "half" he believes is true! After all, there are so many things that we already know are true:
- Capella University is run by a bunch of liars: Michael Offerman (Feeble President), Greg Thom (Chief Shyster), and many, many others.
- Capella University hires and retains charlatans, such as Diane Stottlemyer, who have literally bought and used fake degrees purchased from known diploma mills.
- At least one of Capella's defense attorneys, Capella Stella Fey Epling, has lied to a Federal Court under penalty of perjury.
- Capella University is currently being audited, by the United States Department of Education, Office of the Inspector General, for stealing "less than a million dollars" from American taxpayers.
- Capella ignores legitimate complaints from an enormous number of students.
- Capella's Financial Aid Director, Timothy Lehmann was accepting kickbacks from a student loan company of which he also served on their board of directors
Need we go on?! Perhaps most important of all is the reason that William Burkett gives for not adding free online games to Capella's curriculum for undergrad and grad students:
"Not being one to chuck my pay-check out the window but at the same time realizing that SL type learning is the new frontier of academics. . ."
Isn't the amount of academic freedom at Capella wonderful!? Then again, Capella's customers ("learners") shouldn't plan on getting an education so they might as well play some of the free games on the Internet instead. (They'll probably learn more playing games than spending big-bucks to take classes from some of Capella's charlatans! Happy gaming!
